Measurement
Which clinic and wellness booking systems connect to ad data
In November 2026 we read the developer docs for the main clinic and wellness booking systems, from Open Dental to Blueprint OMS. Not one documents keeping the ad click on a booking. That single gap decides how ads get measured.

In short
- None of the systems we reviewed documents keeping the ad click ID on a booking. A few keep campaign tags at best.
- Whether a patient came in lives only in the practice-management system. Online booking tools know a booking was made, not whether it was kept.
- Openness runs from self-serve APIs with change notifications to partner-only programs and report exports.18
- Integration hubs such as NexHealth Synchronizer and Sikka reach several dental systems at once, at published prices.67
Five fields decide whether ads can be measured
To credit a sale to an ad, a system has to record a handful of things on every appointment. Most have some. Very few have all of them, and the one that's missing is almost always the field that says where the customer came from.
- The status: booked, came in, no-show or cancelled.
- Whether the customer is new or returning.
- The location.
- The source or booking channel.
- A change time stamp, so updates can be picked up as they happen.
Open Dental and Vagaro give the most
Open Dental is the most open system we found. Developers get keys directly and read access is free per location. The API also pushes appointment and patient changes, including no-shows and a new-patient flag.12
Vagaro's change notifications carry the richest booking detail. Each one says whether the customer showed, whether they're new, where they booked from and which location.13 Boulevard documents the best booking-page tracking, with location on every analytics event.12 Its API is for Enterprise customers.
The big dental names are harder. Henry Schein One's Dentrix, Planet DDS's Denticon and CareStack all run developer programs that need an application first.345 Zenoti sends change notifications, but we found no explicit no-show event.14
Hubs are cheaper than they look
For dental groups, a hub can reach several systems through one connection. NexHealth Synchronizer charges per API call with a free monthly allowance.6 Sikka charges a monthly licence plus a fee per location.7
The catch is coverage. Hubs don't reach every system, and coverage of Canadian dental systems is thin in public documentation. We'd confirm a client's exact system and version before promising a direct connection.
Canada has a gap of its own
Jane, widely used by Canadian physio and allied health clinics, has no open API. It admits integration partners after a review.8 It does send Google Ads conversions from its own servers. It also records arrivals and no-shows, along with the booking channel and referral source.9
Canadian dental systems such as ABELDent, ClearDent and Tracker publish little developer documentation. Some appear on hub lists, so a hub is often the practical first route for a Canadian group.
Frames and second domains lose the source
Cliniko offers a public API with self-serve keys.10 It supports a clinic's own Tag Manager container on hosted booking pages, but its embedded booking frame loses the traffic source unless extra work is done.11
Hearing clinics show the same pattern. Sycle was described as the largest audiology practice system when Cochlear bought it in 2017.15 Blueprint OMS requires a referral source on new patients, but its booking frame breaks cross-domain tracking by default.16
So the website has to keep the ad click, because the booking system almost certainly won't. Our research on Google's upload changes shows why that click now matters more.
How this shapes our work
- Bridge captures the ad click on the website and on calls, then matches it to the customer record.
- Every client can start with a report import, whatever system they use.
- Direct connections come next, starting with the most open systems and the hubs that reach many others.
- For closed systems, we apply to partner programs rather than work around them.
Questions
My booking system isn't listed. Can it still be measured?
Usually, yes. A regular report export with appointment status, location and source is enough to start.
Why does the website need to keep the click?
Because none of the systems we reviewed documents storing the ad click ID on a booking. Without it, a booking can't be matched back to the ad.
